Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing

Apart from the ‘Doctors’ the group of manpower which is very essentially required to effectively deliver the health care service is ‘Nursing Staff’. Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing fulfills requirement of undergraduate Nurses and adds additional qualification to General Nursing & Midwifery. Nursing is caring practice comprised of both an art and a learned scientific discipline guided by sound theoretical and factual (clinical) bases. Professional Nurses practice according to a code of ethics, standards of care and profession guidelines para. Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing nurses takes responsibility in the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective, accessible healthcare services to promote health, prevent disease, and treat illness across the lifespan. Nursing interact with other health care profession to create optimal climates for healing and wellness. Nursing is a component of changing health care system which is influenced by economics forces, technological advances, scientific discoveries, and the public voice.

ELIGIBILITY AGE LIMIT

There is NO Age Limit for admission in Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION & ELIGIBILITY OF MARKS

To be eligible for admission to this course, a candidate shall have:

Successfully cleared Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or equivalent examination recognized by the university for this purpose. Those who have done 10+1 in or before 1986 will also be eligible for admission.

Diploma in General Nursing before & after the Implementation of new integrated course and should be registered as Registered Nurse & Registered Midwifery with the State Nurses Registration Councils.

Candidate should be medically fit

FEES

Fees will be decided by government authority or fees regularity committee of government.

SEATS

The annual intake of students in our College is 30 seats per year OR as per government norms,
out of which 50% will be filled by RUHS & rest 50% will be filled by federation.

DURATION

The duration of Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing course is 2 Years.
