Diploma in Radiation Technology

Radiography is a paramedical professional course, offered to individuals who will one day perform diagnostic tests in medical treatment with the use of radiation. In simple terms, radiography may be described as the science of taking images of the internal and hidden portions of the human body for the purpose of diagnosing diseases and ailments. This includes the use of ultrasound, X-ray, CT scan, MRI, etc.

Radiographers are different from Radiologists. Radiologists are doctors who specialize in interpreting diagnostic images like X-rays, MRI and CT scans. They can also perform interventional procedures such as an angiogram or biopsy.

Diploma in Radiological Technology (DRT) is a postgraduate diploma course. This is a unique professional diploma course combining various aspects of radio diagnostic technology and Medical Imaging. This is a nationally accredited two-year diploma program. They will get training in the use of radiographic equipment, learn how to position patients to get the best images and learn to critique images. You also develop knowledge and skills in:

ELIGIBILITY AGE LIMIT

There is NO Age Limit for admission in Diploma in Radiological Technology (DRT).

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION & ELIGIBILITY OF MARKS

To be eligible for admission to this course, a candidate shall have:

Successfully cleared Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2(Bio + Math) or equivalent examination recognized by the university for this purpose.

FEES

Fees will be decided by government authority or fees regularity committee of government.

SEATS

The annual intake of students in our College is 25 seats per batch.

DURATION

The duration of Diploma in Radiological Technology (DRT) course is 2 Years.
